We are one of very few producers that grow and make Sangiovese in the Napa Valley. With just under two acres of Sangiovese on our property, our goal is to make a balanced, interesting, nuanced California style version of this classic Italian variety. Our 2019 Sangiovese opens with intense aromatics of dried cranberries, raspberry, pencil shavings, and thyme. Medium bodied in weight, the interior is silky and seamless while refined rustic tannins provide nuanced framework. The bright acidity lengthens the finish, with notes of nectarine rind and Bing cherries.
